Membranes live footage from the legendary Blackpool Tower gig

In August 2104 Membranes played the highest ever gig in the UK, 158 meters above sea level at ’158 live.’

The gig was oversold because the tower gave the band the wrong capacity details so the night was split into two with two sets from the band. The gig was filmed for the upcoming film about the Membranes. We have some of the footage here. Enjoy.

The Membranes new album

The Membranes are working on their first album for 20 years.

After the successful Universe Explained gigs they have continued on the space theme and there are 20 new songs- recording starts soon with lots of ideas getting thrown about.

Steve Hanley the great Fall bass player will be playing on the album as well and we have loads of ideas…
